It was the best of prom, it was the worst of prom. Miranda Tate returns for her senior year at Bard Academy and she is counting on two things Prom with her boyfriend, Heathcliff, and then graduation from the haunted boarding school where fictional characters come to life. Fate, however, has other plans.

When Catherine Earnshaw, Heathcliff's long-lost love, appears on campus, suddenly everything she thought she knew about Heathcliff is changed forever. Catherine seems determined to win Heathcliff back, even if that means destroying Bard Academy and banishing its ghostly teachers - for good.

Miranda and her friends face their most daunting challenge, yet, which will take them for the first time inside the classics that have powered their mysterious boarding school. It's up to them to save Bard Academy - and prom. Can Miranda change her destiny and Heathcliff's? Or is this one story that was written in the stars?

A Tale of Two Proms Young Adult Paranormal Romance Bard Academy Book 4 eBook Cara Lockwood

I loved the Bard Academy series so much, the only bad thing was the extended wait for the final volume (thanks MTV books) and only being able to purchase it as an ebook. I wanted a physical copy to put on my shelf with the other 3. But, even with all this, I'm glad I was able to read it at all after so much uncertainty about who/when it would be published.

Lockwood indeed had many twists & turns for her final "turn" around the Bard Academy campus & they were great! I was sad to say good bye to Miranda & Co but thrilled they received such a great send off! If you haven't read this series, do so! It's funny, lighthearted & uses literary characters in a new exciting way....

Definitely recommend this one & the other series titles!!!

Wuthering Heights
The Scarlet Letterman
Moby Clique
A Tale of Two Proms

Good for anyone who likes light, easy reads...some teen angst, light romance but kept PG, girls aged 11-18 would enjoy! Great series!!!

5 well deserved stars!!!!!

A Tale of Two Proms Young Adult Paranormal Romance Bard Academy Book 4 eBook Cara Lockwood Reviews

I have absolutely loved the Bard Academy from the first day I saw it on bookshelves. I was browsing the bookstore with a gift card and saw this book called "Wuthering High" and had to immediately pick it up to see what it was about. It sounded really awesome- a funny paranormal taking elements from classic books. I bought it, read the book in two days, and was clamoring for the second one. I think I went back out the following weekend to get it. Then I had to wait around a year for the next one- it was TORTURE. Until I got to the wait for this book, which took four years! But it's here now, and it's the perfect way to wrap up the series.

I will admit that it took me a while to get into the book. I don't know if it was just having not read the series in so long, or if maybe the first half was just not what I'd expected from the books after reading the first three. I felt the humor had been dialed down and it was just reading about Miranda's woes over her relationship with Heathcliff.

The second half though was BANGING! I was scrolling through the pages (it's an ebook only) so fast because I wanted to see how everything was resolved. This was their biggest adventure yet and I think it was worth the wait. There was so much at stake and Lockwood handled the whole complicated situation so well. The ending was a bit of a surprise but it feels right, so I'm happy with it. Although now I kinda want an epilogue, lol.

The characters are all great, especially once their senses of humor come back in the second half. I missed them so much, so it was great to be with them all again for one final adventure. My favorite would probably have to be Samir- he's such a lovable coward! I also love that I kinda get a fun literature lesson while reading too.

Overall, this was a fantastic ending to a wonderful series. If you have not picked up these books, you really should!! I cannot recommend it enough, especially now that the series is complete! The first three books are, in order Wuthering High, Scarlet Letterman, and Moby Clique. Go buy them!
Miranda is in her Senior year at the Bard Academy. Her boyfriend Heathcliff(yes Heathcliff from Wuthering Heights) has just asked her to marry him. Miranda is torn, does she marry Heathcliff the love of her life and have to stay on the Island forever or does she leave all of Bard Academy behind and go to Penn State University where she has been accepted?

Before Miranda can make a decision though strange things begin to happen. After all, it is Bard Academy, where strange is normal. Catherine shows up from Wuthering Heights, she is Heathcliff's true love. She also happens to look just like Miranda. Then Heathcliff begins to act strangely, when did Heathcliff begin to drink Miranda wonders.

Miranda and her sister Lindsay are called away from the Island for a family emergency. Upon their return they find the Island empty. All of the faculty and students have disappeared. Heathcliff and Catherine are nowhere to be found either. Knowing that somehow Catherine is behind the disappearance of everyone Miranda and Lindsay must travel into other novels in order to find all of their friends before it is too late and the classics as we know them are altered forever.

I have totally enjoyed Cara Lockwoods Bard Academy series! Going to a school where the teachers are characters and authors from famous classics would be totally interesting. There's always a bit of danger in each one also, and of course the romance between Heathcliff and Miranda keeps the pages turning. I believe this may be the last book in the series. If so it was the perfect ending!
I loved the story but it was a bit predictable, I also didn't like how you could only buy it online, I just love having a book in my hand plus the only time I have time to read is in school and your not a loud to have kindles because they can connect to the Internet! I do love this series though, I wish this wasn't the last one!
This series is fun and keeps you wanting more. Well done Lockwood. More than brilliant and a pat on the back, well done you!
Would recommend this book to everyone. Adult or teens. It keeps you on your toes wanting more. So sad that this is the last of the series.
I love this book, it's awesome
Definitely keeps up the story of Bard Academy with yet another threat to the entire school. A new student is the cause of some chaos while Heathcliff seems to quite changeable. This time, though, the entire school (including the physical buildings) come under what could be their final attack ever. A good story which stays interesting.
