I have obsessively read all 8 of the Heku books in a little over a month's time. Although I do a lot of leisure reading, I am not often absorbed in the book. This series has had me completely entranced from beginning to end. Although all the books are quite long, there is none of the hated & tedious lengthy descriptions that you will find in the majority of other novels. The series was originally meant to be ended with book #7, but gladly it did not, as book #8 was the best so far, in my opinion! If there were another 20 in the series, I would happily read every one, I enjoy them so much. I very highly suggest them!

better if the main character had more growth, loved the overall concept on the vampires,but really could have been better
the whole heku series was great. it was not your usual vampire story! I actually disliked the character Emily alot! I kept getting so upset with her..but i had to keep on reading! it was so addicting! if you like vampire books,you would for sure enjoy this series!!
I LOVED this series! Came across it by accident, but I am so glad I did. I read all 9 books in about two weeks. So good! I am so bummed that the series is over. Looking forward to reading more from this author!
I love T.M. Nielsen. I appreciate the depths of his characters and he puts them in interesting situations. I read all of them in a week, so I can't remember much about the individual books, I just loved the series as a whole. Thank you for a really great story )
I accidentally found this series and was so glad I did. It's fun and imaginative and so unexpected. I had no problem reading it. It's not too wordy but very descriptive. I felt what the characters felt. I even cried in one of the books. I laughed at loud in most of them. It brings out all of your emotions. I hope to read more of T. M. Nielsen's books.
Omg, the main character of these stories grates my nerve like noone else!! But you gotta love her. Page turner from beginning to end, highly recommended!!

One hell of a ride~
While I did read the whole series, the main characters really didn't do much for me, but did like the actual story which is why I thought this series was just okay. I actually liked the surrounding characters more than the main characters. I'm tired of whiny, stupidly stubborn heroines.
